Chris Masson threw a 4-yard touchdown pass to Marlin Miller with 27 seconds remaining to give Louisiana to an exciting come from behind 38-34 victory over North Texas on Saturday night.

The Ragin' Cajuns (3-2, 1-0 Sun Belt Conference) trailed 34-24 entering the final quarter, but drove 80 yards on 17 plays to set up Brad McGuire's 1-yard sneak with 9:26 left.

After holding the Mean Green (1-4, 0-2) on their next two possessions, Louisiana drove from its 42 to the winning score, with a fourth-down holding penalty keeping the drive alive.

Chris Masson completed the comeback when he connected with Marlin Miller for a touchdown pass on third-and-goal with 27 seconds remaining.

Louisiana finished the fourth quarter with 26 total plays that covered 108 yards. Masson was 6-of-11 for 62 yards during the decisive quarter. The Cajuns defense held the Mean Green to just 16 yards of total offense.

Lance Dunbar rushed for 184 yards and scored all four touchdowns for North Texas, which has lost 13 straight Sun Belt games. His 1-yard touchdown run with 3:51 left in the third quarter gave the Mean Green a 34-24 lead.

Undrea Sails led the Cajuns on the ground with 93 yards and two touchdowns.

Louisiana’s Dwight Bentley had two interceptions, returning one for a 70 yards and a touchdown.

The victory was the Cajuns' third straight in the series - the longest win streak over the Mean Green in the all-time series.
