Willis To Be Named Defensive Coordinator
Prior to James Willis stint as Texas Tech defensive coordinator in 2011 under then coach Tommy Tuberville, he coached at Rhode Island, Temple and Auburn before spending one year as Associate Head Coach for Nick Saban at Alabama and was on the staff when Bama beat Texas for the National Championship. He has been coaching in the United Football League since resigning at Texas Tech.
Willis returned to Auburn to complete his degree after his NFL career ended.
James Willis was a 5th round draft back of the Green Bay Packers in 1993 and would later play for the Philadelphia Eagles, Seattle Seahawks, and the Birmingham Thunder Bolts of the now defunct XFL.
The same sources stated that Coach James Willis is to be named UL defensive coordinator within a week. The Cajun Redozne we will have more on James Willis once his hire becomes official.
